Augmented reality is the buzz word these days and Car Finder is a pretty darn good implementation of the augmented reality technology. There have been a lot of apps in the App Store for helping you find where you parked your car, but now there’s one that shows you where it is with the awesomeness of augmented reality on your iPhone 3GS.
To use the app, mark the cars position with the app using GPS. You can also add a name to the location and attach information like the space number if there is one. Then, when you want to find where you parked, you simply open the app and follow the red arrow toward your car. simple and easy.
Using the camera, A-GPS and the compass built into the iPhone 3GS, Car Finder allows you to find your car by positioning an overlay on top of a live view of what’s in front of you. Also, when you mark your car Car Finder allows you to set a note for your parking spot. This is particularly useful if you know what section you’re parked in or if the GPS is spotty in the location that your car is currently parked in.
